ABSTRACT
Orchitis, epididymitis, testicular torsion, and incarcerated hernia are among the main causes of acute scrotum. Acute appendicitis is a very rare etiology for a patient to present with this clinical picture, and the few reported cases correspond to the pediatric age group. In this manuscript we present an exceptional case where a fourth decade patient presented with an acute scrotum due to an appendicular abscess.
