ABSTRACT
The elder adult presents atypical clinical characteristics and an insidious course in the acute abdominal syndrome; this is a problem for the opportune diagnosis that in turn increases the morbimortality of such patients.
In this work the clinical case of a patient with traumatic antecedent at thoracic and abdominal level is presented that initially had diffuse abdominal pain with preoperatory diagnosis of deep contusion of abdomen.
