ABSTRACT
Elastofibroma dorsi is an uncommon soft-tissue benign neoplasm, localized generally at subescapular region. Its cytologic characteristics have been already described. This paper reports the case of elastofibroma to assess the usefulness of the cytologic diagnosis in the transoperatory study with impronta frotis. The case corresponds to a 52-year-old female, with dorsal tumor in the inferior angle of the scapula, which was resected after specific diagnosis during the transoperatory study.
