ABSTRACT

We present a 43 year old male case with a 5-month macroscopic hematuria with obstructive symptoms that evolves to acute urinary retention and lithuria, an excretory urogram is performed that reveals the presence of a bladder filling defect and left renal exclusion, a trans urethral bladder resection results in a squamous cell carcinoma of the bladder with moderate differentiation with invasion to the lamina propria; bone scintigraphy results negative. Left nephrectomy plus cistoprostatectomy reports a squamous cell carcinoma of the bladder with moderate differentiation with complete invasion of the muscular wall, left kidney with a staghorn calculi and xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis, the patient is sent to radiotherapy (24 Gy. in 4 sessions).
