ABSTRACT

Iron metabolism is not an important physiologic event for doctors, even so its anomalies is the origin of pathologies like iron deficiency and chronic disease anemia, both are characterized by microcitic-hipocromic anemia, but with different etiologies. Hemochromatosis is not a frequent problem, but its pathogenesis is a disorder of iron metabolism.
