ABSTRACT
Platelet-dependent thrombus formation may be influenced by alteration of platelet or vascular redox state, the presence of endogenous or exogenous antioxidants, as well as the formation of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. In this article we intend to review which are the redox factors that participate in the process of platelet adhesion and the extent to which they participate in the normal coagulation process.
