Treatment of traumatic arteriovenous fistula in children. Report of three cases

ABSTRACT

Etiology of vascular lesions is multiple; most are caused by trauma which may result in an aneurysm or an arteriovenous fistula which complicate the outcome and their management. We present three cases of peripheral vascular lesions with formation of an arteriovenous fistula corroborated by image tridimensional studies. They were successfully operated. Image studies are very useful to surgical planning and approach which reduce surgical complications.
