ABSTRACT
Tarsal coalitions could be fibrous, cartilaginous or bony bridges among the tarsal bones that could be manifested by pain and movement limitation. 90% of them are more often in previous or medium facet between talus and calcaneus and the space between the calcaneus and scaphoid bones. Clinical diagnosis is confirmed by X-rays, computed tomography and magnetic resonance. Three-dimensional reconstruction for planning surgical treatment has also been suggested.
Management of these problems is primarily symptomatic but if the problem persists, must be surgical, by eliminating bridges and occasionally through an subtalar or triple arthordesis.
