ABSTRACT
Spontaneous perirenal or renal hemorrhage also known as Wunderlich Syndrome is a rare event that can be life-threatening. The case of a 33-year-old male patient is presented. The patient had a medical history of high blood pressure and he came to our service because of a sudden pain in the right flank. Other symptoms were paleness, tachycardia and low blood pressure. Complementary laboratory studies were carried out because renal angiomyolipoma was suspected. Radical nephrectomy was performed and histopathological diagnosis was renal angiomyolipoma. Management included stabilizing the patient in shock, laboratory study diagnostic protocol and radical nephrectomy with favorable progression. The medical literature was also reviewed.REFERENCES
