ABSTRACT
Prostatitis due to
Coccidioides immitis is a rare presentation of disseminated coccidioidomycosis and can be a diagnostic challenge and therapeutic dilemma. The authors found only fourteen published cases on Internet databases. The case of a diabetic man, carrier of human immunodeficiency virus, is presented here along with a review of the scant biomedical literature available on the subject.
