ABSTRACT
This is a report of 21 cases of tibial shaft fractures, opened type I or II, from Gustillo classification, who where treated by unreamed nail of tibia. Patients were 36 years old in average Male prevalence in 3:1 relationship. In the 76% (16/21) of the cases the radiographic bone union grade III was present before 20 weeks. The more frequently complication was delayed healing and pseudarthrosis in 2 cases respectively. The infection rate from unreamed nailing was in 19%. The 80% of patients were able to return to the same profession before one year after surgery
