ABSTRACT
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) ankylosis is the partial or total union of the articulation’s components. The most common causes is the macrotrauma associate with condilar process fracture since the active growth period of early childhood, Traffic accidents and falls are the principles cause of TMJ ankylosis in children. This pathology is a particular concern in children because in them the hypomobility can have a significant impact in facial growth, because of this the freeing of the articulation in early stages plus of application of a graft that allows a symmetric facial growth is important. A clinic case is presented.
