ABSTRACT
Although rosacea was described many years ago, its etiology remains poorly understood. Different hypotheses have been described in order to understand this. The most important theories are those related to vascular disorders or alterations that play an essential role in its development. In this article we report the case of a 9 year-old girl with rosacea, and we made a review of the most recent advances in its etiology, pathogenesis and treatment, keeping in mind the medicine based on evidence.
