Fibromatosis Ovarica Vs Massive edema of the Ovary in adolescence. A case Report

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Ovarian fibromatosis is a rare known and described as a cause of benign ovarian tumor in adolescents, which may be confused or associated with massive ovarian edema.
Case report: Women of 14 years with constipation and cramping pain in lower abdomen right predominance, with increased volume in the right flank, moving, painful, positive rebound in both iliac fossae and diminished peristaltic sounds. Practice is plain abdominal radiography, abdominal ultrasound and axial tomography Comutarizada was diagnosed solid tumor of right ovary, laparotomy was performed, finding a tumor 4cm x 4cm, solid-looking in its entirety right ovary-dependent, making a salpigooforectomia right. The histopathological reports fibromatosis of right ovary.
Conclusions: The differential diagnosis of ovarian fibromatosis and massive ovarian edema is essential for decision making in the surgical procedure.
