ABSTRACT
Dogs are considered a very important infection source of leptospirosis to human beings. However, it is believed that the transmission of this infection in inverse way is very rare. In this paper we show two cases, at first, the leptospirosis transmission from a sick dog to a veterinarian. The second case highlights an atypical clinical picture of leptospirosis transmission: from man to dog (zooantroponoses), a mechanism that could be common but we never take into account. It also emphasizes that the infection or reinfection of veterinarians is very common when they are in contact with sick animals without using protective equipment: gloves, waterproof apron, etc. This makes them vulnerable of suffering severe disease (anthropozoonoses). Futhermore we make reference as how bad human hygiene habits facilitate the transmission of these and other zoonoses to domestic animals.REFERENCES
