ABSTRACT
Neuroblastoma, is the most common extracranial solid malignancy in children, the majority of this neoplasm (90%) are diagnosed in the first 5 years of life, rarely occurs in adults. The neuroblastomas derive from the neural crest and arise in the adrenal medulla, paravertebral sympathetic ganglia, and sympathetic paraganglia. When children and adults compared by stage, adults do not have a better prognosis in some series. We have cared for two neuroblastomas patients older than 18 years of age at American British Cowdray Medical Center, in Mexico during the past 6 years. Neuroblastoma was diagnosed in these patients by conventional pathologic, immunohistochemistry methods and static cytometria.
