ABSTRACT
A prospective, experimental and explicative study was realized, to determinate the effect of the mother tincture of Calendula officinalis L. In the healing of the mucosa, in the post operative in a 3rd Molar in a human model. In the study there were selected 65 patients, and divided into two groups, in both cases the 3rd molar for indication was surgery. Group 1 with 32 patients, were suministated with: analgesics, antibiotics, and antinflamatory; Group 2 with 33 patients in which ones only were medicated with other tincture of Calendula, in mouth rinse 3 times a day. We evaluate the different variability that participates in the healing procedure like: hemostatics, pain, inflammation, and infection. In comparative Group 1, present elevated values in all the variables, and also presented some cases with infection of the area; that´s why Calendula is better that alopathics medicine.
