Pre-operative pain as factor related to the appearance of endodontic increase

ABSTRACT
The endodontic flare up is a clinic challenge, and do not exist clear information for the factors related. This a observational and prospective study for investigate the endodontic flare up over, 389 patients with root canal treatment and related with age, sex, tooth type, intensity of preoperative and postoperative pain score on visual analogue scale (VAS), The results analyzed on 138 patients with necrotic pulp diagnose (35.4%) of these, male was 26.8% (31.3±15.3 years old); and female 73.2% (36.2±13.5 years old). Identified 7 flare up patients (5.07%), 5 was female (3.6%). The teeth more affected were 2.2 and 2.6. The preoperative pain in the flare up patients was 67.5±39.3 and not flare up 7.9 16.1 VAS (p‹.0001). As well observed the immediately postoperative pain (17.5 24.5) on the flare up patients presented significant statistical differences compared not flare up (2.4±9) (p=.0002) and not significant with the postoperative intervals time remaining.
