ABSTRACT
The Temporalmandibular disorders (TMD) has been identified as the biggest pain cause in the orofacial region of non dental origin. Although the occlusal features has been related as etiology factor by TMD, scientifically there is not evidence that sustains a relationship between them. The occlusal analysis is a fundamental part in the evaluation of the function of the temporalmandibular joint; It is ideal to use an articulator (usually semiadjustable); this it is programmed initially with standard international measures, but due to the world population´s variations anthropomorphic, it is logical that exist variations; So it arises the following query does it exists significant difference between the international standard programming and the parameters average of the patient poblanos for the analysis oclusal?
The purpose of the investigation was establishing parameters in the programming of the Hanau semiadjustable articulator, that simplifies the reproduction of the mandibular movements of the Poblana population to facilitate the analysis of their occlusion, and to determine what tooth or teeth are causal of occlusal variation and therefore predisposing of temporomandibular disorders.
