We report 10 infants attended in Oaxaca City during november 2008 to january 2009, who presented diarrhea due to rotavirus. All of them had received two doses of rotavirus vaccine by the national system of health. The mean age was 8 months, nine of them initiated with alimentary vomits, followed by diarrhea in all cases. All presented isonatremic dehydration (light four, moderate four, severity two). Five of them were hospitalized by fault in plan B being rehydrated by parenteral route; four infants had concomitant bacterial infection. The stool exam showed, pH of 5 and presence of fat +++ in all cases. All had positive rotaquick (test for rotavirus in stool). All infants had transitory lactose intolerance. In infants with acute secretory gastroenteritis rotavirus can not be ruled out even if they have completed the vaccination scheme, in virtue that the may present a different of serotype.
