ABSTRACT
The reproductive future of patients with cancer becomes threatened when therapies available exert a high impact upon germinal cells. This has generated an emergent medical discipline named oncofertility, promoted by the effectiveness of newer forms of therapy like those observed in patients with pediatric cancer which provide survival rates of 75%. Women show more limitations for fertility rescue due to the nature of their germ cells less susceptible of preservation than its male counterpart. This has led to research of promising complex techniques for follicular preservation which entails novel basis of physician-patient interaction.
