ABSTRACT
Meningiomas are the most frequent primary tumors of the central nervous system (15 to 20%). They are usually slow-growing, benign and well delimited. Most of them are found incidentally and complete surgical excision is practically curative. These neoplasias correspond to grade I of WHO scale. There are histological variations of worse prognosis; and are, therefore, more aggressive and show atypical behavior. These correspond to grade II and III of the WHO. We reported one case of recurrent malignant meningioma.
