ABSTRACT

Polymyositis is an inflammatory disease with a presumable immune origin and in some cases it is associated with other collagen diseases. The present is a case of a 48 year old woman who came for evaluation for muscular weakness and pain in the four extremities. Serologic assays and muscular biopsy were processed for diagnosis.
