ABSTRACT
When
Toxoplasma gondii´s primoinfection proceed in a pregnant woman the parasite is transmitted through the placenta and provoke the congenital infection or abortion, which depends on the gestational period. We report a case of acute toxoplasmosis in a pregnant woman, diagnosed by means of serologic techniques and Polymerase Chain Reaction. When the patient started to be studied, she only presented signs of abortion.
