ABSTRACT
(i)Introduction:(/i) The laboratory values accepted as reference have been determined from studies carried out in racial, cultural and environmentally different populations. Each laboratory should manage reference values characteristic of the population under its environment. (i)Objective:(/i) To determine the ranges of normality of some biochemical and haematology tests in healthy mature people of the Central Hospital of the Air force of Peru. (i)Study type:(/i) Observational, transverse and descriptive. (i)Material and methods:(/i) They were studied a total of 120 people from 20 to 50 years of the aeronautical environment which were evaluated by different specialties whose indexes of corporal mass were among 20-25 and that they are not in state of sharp stress evaluated by the scale of Anxiety. They were excluded patients that were not in fast or that has received high diets in fatty, 24 hours before taking the samples. It was determined the values of glucose (G), urea (U), creatinine (C), uric acid (UA), total lipids (TL), total cholesterol (TC), HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol, triglicerides (T), total proteins (TP), albumine (Alb), gammaglobulins (GG), total calcium (TCa), total leucocytes (TL), neutrophils (N), lymphocytes (L), monocytes (M), basophils (B), eosinophils (E), haemoglobine (Hb), haematocrit (Hc), recount of red cells (RG) and platelet count (Pla). (i)Results:(/i) 72 males and 48 women were evaluated, 16 of the 28 variables didn’t present normal distribution for what was used percentiles. There were significant statistically differences in the tests of UA, TC, VLDL and T when different aged groups were evaluated. (i)Conclusions:(/i) The values of G, C, TP, Alb, GG, TL, TC, HDL, LDL and VLDL didn’t present significant variation regarding other populations. The superior values of TCa were below that reported in other studies. As for the UA the values found in women were garishly high, not being this way in males. The T presented bigger figures to that informed in similar studies in other populations. Regarding the analysis of GR, Hb and Hc, we find in our population that they are smaller regarding other realities. The LT in women presented levels below that referred by other authors. As for E, B, M and L didn’t have significant variation regarding other studies.REFERENCES
