ABSTRACT
A control no aleatorius open study in 100 subjects, 50 patients from Allergy External Service of Calixto García General Hospital with clinical symptoms to house dust exposure and 50 healthy volunteers was made.
Prick test with Dermatophagoides siboney Allergen, BIOCEN produced, in 20,000 and 2,000 BU/mL duplicated in both arms were considered.
We observed in the allergy group, 45 positive test, with the biggest wheat diameter in 20,000 BU/mL concentration with 90% of sensibility, 94% specificity and 98% of efficiency and 62, 98 and 98% with the 2000 BU/mL one. In healthy volunteers Prick tests were essentially negative.
No adverse reactions were seen during the procedures employed.
