ABSTRACT
The immunoglobuline E is a particle than has been associated frequently to allergical diseases also to eosinophils in serum elevated. We describe the relation between this two values in a comparative retrospective study.
The study is since January 1997 to January 1998 of the asthmatic child patients lesser than 14 years old attended in Hospital Regional del ISSSTE in Monterrey NL Mexico.
We include 63 patients lesser than 14 years old, 42 masculine and 21 feminine.
The IgE has been elevated more than 200 UI/mL in 30 patients (47.6%).
The eosinophils in serum elevated more than 10% in 23 patients (33.3%).
In the relation IgE and eosinophils elevated in serum we get a value of p = 0.005 in a statistics analysis for the correlation of both values elevated.
We conclude than both values correlated is very utility to differenciate allergical patient asthmatic for non-allergical patient asthmatic in our children.
