ABSTRACT
Hypothermia is a serious and preventable problem in health systems. In cases of severe hypothermia (‹ 30°C) is associated with marked depression of vital functions, which can mistakenly make the patient as dead in the initial assessment. Therefore such patients should be transferred to a site of high-level medical care, and has ways to practice measures of overheating. Below is a review of key concepts and features of this entity.
