ABSTRACT
In this paper we provide a series of reflections on the bioethical implications of self-experimentation, as a phenomenon that has been present in the future of medicine base. It emphasizes the moral dimension of medical research in general and self-experimentation in particular, assuming that this kind of human activities behind a collective principle of beneficence. Citing the old maxim of Plato that «Wherever we love the art of medicine, there is love to mankind».
