Chlamydia pneumoniae and its role in immunoallergy

ABSTRACT
Chlamydia pneumoniae is a recently described bacteria implicated in a great variety of clinical entities ranging from causing respiratory tract infections to its role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. We describe briefly its relation with allergic and immunologic entities, its diagnosis and treatment as well.
