ABSTRACT
A case report of a 13 year-old female patient is presented, finding a tendency of Class II skeletal malocclusion and vertical growth pattern, as well as class I molar occlusion, Class II occlusion in the right canine and Class III in the left one, with dental biproclination, severe crowding, mesofacial biotype, convex profile, lip incompetence an increased lower anterior facial height. The objectives were to control the vertical growth, to improve the facial appearance, to eliminate the crowding, to correct axial axes of the teeth and to obtain canine Class I. The treatment was carried out by extractions of the first four premolars, control of maximum anchorage using transpalatal bar, lingual arch, high pull headgear and fixed MBT appliance. The used retention was fixed in the inferior arch and removable in the maxillary arch. The finished case was evaluated under the approach of the first certification body The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) by means of the Index of Discrepancy in order to know the mistakes that affected the final result and in this way to be able to improve the finishing of the cases in future.REFERENCES
