ABSTRACT
Dengue constitutes an important problem of public health in the State Nuevo Leon (México). The intention of the investigation was to determine if the association between the cases of dengue exists and the larval index in the State again Leon (Mexico). It was made in cases of dengue confirmed and the llarval index of house in proportion to the studied areas, in the period included of January to December of year 2000 and of January to May of the 2001 of the registries of the Secretariat of Health of Nuevo Leon, they were analyzed by sanitary jurisdiction, municipality, sort and age. A total of 39 cases of dengue and 753 were analyzed area with study of larval index. The affected municipalities more were the one of Monterrey and San Nicolas de los Garza. The predominant indices of risk were the low one and average, only of a total of 11 municipalities that reported dengue, in Monterrey was significantly statistical association between larvario index and cases of dengue, in the rest of the municipalities the association was not significant. We considered that the larrval index is an indicator that is due to be considered for the monitoring epidemiologist of dengue since, in the municipality of Monterrey, was association.REFERENCES
