ABSTRACT
Supracondylar humeral fractures, are the second most common lesion in the Pediatric age. There are several classifications to describe these fractures and to guide their treatment. In general terms are classified, according its production mechanism: in flexion and extension, being this last one the more frequent. Not displaced fractures or with minimum displacement can be treated under conservative method, but when severe offset occur, with rotation deformity or vasculonervious compromise, open reduction and stabilization of the fractures with pins are recommended. Among the complications that may arise are the injury or vasculonervious compromise and the cubitus varus deformity.
