ABSTRACT
For the professional nurse that interacts in the process of the blood donation, it turns out essential to be able to offer well-taken care of quality those people which they go to donate, which are considered healthy and like so the professional nurse it must work looking for that the donor has in the donation a pleasing experience and that with it, we manage to turn to that donor habitual. For a suitable attention to the donor and taken care of quality, the nursing personnel it must participate in the detection of health problems, inform to the donor about all the process and avoid or to put in front themselves to the potential complications, to count on material and equipment adapted for the attention. For this he is advisable to have unified models of attention based on the nursing knowledge, to standardize these cares and to diminish the actually clinical variability and in addition they allow to evaluate the results obtained in each donor; and to establish criteria of results with its corresponding interventions of nursing, as well as evaluation to the application of the improvements. The blood bank will have to include a quality system to obtain that the harvesting, processing delivery of blood and its components, as well as, the transfusion are made according to the specified requirements, this must include the their own manual of quality and detailed reference of their procedures.REFERENCES
