ABSTRACT
A series of drawings attributed to different authors of several epochs is presented. A description of the eyeball is made according to those drawings and the anatomic knowledge in each epoch. The drawings are showed on chronological order. The drawings presented are attributed to Hippocrates (460-370 b.C.), Celsus (30 b.C.-50 a.C.), Galen (130-200), Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), Vesalius (1514-1562), Juan Valverde de Amusco (1526-1588), Scheiner (1575-1650) and Molleneti (¿-1673).It is interesting, mainly to ophthalmologists, to know those drawings of the eye and to know the anatomic concepts of each epoch.
