ABSTRACT
Laryngeal tuberculosis is the most common granulomatose lesion in the larynx, appearing as chronic laryngitis or carcinoma. The result of primary active lung tuberculosis is laryngeal infection by means of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The posterior area of vocal folds is the laryngeal structure most affected and its manifestations depend on the severity of infection, getting worse with lung tuberculosis. The early clinical manifestations of laryngeal tuberculosis are voice disorders, sore throat, cough. Dysphagia, as it gets worse. The manifestations correspond to the exact site of lesion. Laryngoscopy and biopsy are the main tools when detecting carcinoma. The best treatment in laryngeal tuberculosis is achieved by early detection, and pharmacological control of tuberculosis.REFERENCES
