ABSTRACT
Polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) is a generalized necrotizing vasculitis of small and medium sized arteries. The etiology of this disease is unknown, the annual incidence is 0.7 to per 100 000 habitants, the male:female ratio is 2:1, with an average age of presentation between fourth and fifth decades of life. We report a case of a 42 year-old male who began his clinical picture 5 months before the first medical evaluation with malaise, weight loss, dysphagia, cough with hemoptoic sputum, left otalgy, tinnitus, dizziness, fluctuant hearing loss, and facial paralysis. Diverse tests were made to demonstrate polyarteritis nodosa. The article’s goal is to describe the otologycal clinical presentation of vasculitis.
