ABSTRACT
Objetive: To evaluate the analgesic quality of the C. Tramadol by oral administration compared with the administration of itself along with amitriptiline and gabapentine in the diabetic neuropathy. Material and Methods: A study was performed for 4 weeks in patients of both sexes from 40 to 70 years and algologic diagnose of diabetic neuropathy controlled with glucemia, and these were divided into 3 groups. These groups received Tramadol by oral administration 200 mg/day at the begining, this was incremented in the following weeks according to the EVA registered, up to a maximum of mg/day. Preestablished doses of Amitriptiline 25 mg and Gabapentine mg were added per day to the groups II and III respectively. The EVA and the side-effects were registered. Results: The diabetic neuropathy prevails in the femenine sex (p‹0.05), the EVA value diminished in the 3 groups, with prevalence in groups II and III in the 2th. week, not being significant at the end of the study. The requirement of Tramadol was smaller in the group II compared with the other two groups which represented a significant statiscally difference p‹0.05. The undersirable effects as sedation, nausea, constipations prevailed in groups I and III (p‹0.05), while dry mouth in group II. Discusion: Tramadol is a drug that contributes to analgesia in the diabetic neuropathy, but it requires to be associated with neuromodulators, for a good pain control.REFERENCES
