ABSTRACT
Paraurethral leiomyoma is a benign neoplasm that affects more frequently women. It has been related with smooth muscle hormonal stimulation, and descriptions in pregnant women are frequent. They are tumors with nonspecific clinical presentation, and they have to be differentiated with tumors that arise from urethra. Diagnosis is clinical, endoscopic and radiologic. We present a case from a woman with a mass in genital area, vagina independent, 4 years of evolution, complete surgical resection with paraurethral leiomyoma histopathological diagnosis, without local recurrence after 6 months. We review literature for this case.REFERENCES
