ABSTRACT

Etiology of vesicovaginal fistula develops after gynecologic surgery such as hysterectomy, with others caused by obstetric trauma, radiation, infection. In its surgical management a well-vascularized tissue layer is employed to diminish the risk of fistula recurrences. The interest of this report is the presence of this pathology in a 3 year 10 month old girl, whose fistula was repaired using bovine collagen with a posterior sagittal approach.
