ABSTRACT
We introduce an initial treatment proposal of type 2 diabetes. This paper includes an algorithm based on an American Diabetes Association and European Association for the Study of Diabetes recommendations. The therapeutic proposal was validated and adjusted through the opinions of a group of Mexican physicians and health professionals with special interest in diabetes. We included information of pharmacological features of the drugs and data of clinical trials with high evidence level.
