ABSTRACT
Introduction: Osteoid osteoma is a benign tumor that typically produces night pain that improves with salicilates. This condition, rarely affects children younger than 5 years-old.
Case report: We present a 2 year-old-boy with lower limb discrepancy due to overgrowth of the femur as first manifestation of an osteoid osteoma. The patient did not complain of pain. The tumor localization was intramedular, and diagnosis was confirmed by pathology after broad resection of the tumor.
Discussion: This case report shows an unusual presentation of an osteoid osteoma in a young patient, with lower limb discrepancy caused by overgrowth of the femur in absence of pain.
