Krukenberg’s tumor of colonic origin

ABSTRACT

Krukenberg’s tumor has been defined as ovarian metastasis with the presence of a signet ring cells carcinoma in an ovarian stroma with diffuse sacomatous reaction. This metastasis generally comes from the digestive tube, mainly from stomach and colon. We present a female patient, 47 years old, with bilateral Kukenberg´s tumor, associcated with transverse colon adenocarcinoma. The treatment of this tumor is radical surgery of the primary lesion and the ovarian metastasis. Radiochemotherapy could improve the survilliance.
