Acute fatty liver of pregnancy: eight years of experience

ABSTRACT

The clinical characteristics and evolution of 7 patients with acute fatty liver of pregnancy in 8 years of revision in a critical care unit of a Mexican general hospital are reported. All the patients developed consumption of haemostatic components, and give them blood products for support with and administration of heparin.
The illness is defined and their epidemiology and diagnosis are commented.
