ABSTRACT

The objective of this report, is to describe the case of a female adolescent of 16 years old whot present lingual bleeding secondary to a body piercing that its resolution was surgical. The time of clotting was prolonged for consumption factors, also diminishing the hemoglobin figures, requiring application of parenteral vitamin K and oral iron. She had the antecedent of dynamic family dysfunction. The complication of the body piercing and the preventive aspects were commented that include to punishment cases for practicing perforations to an adolescents, that is forbidden according to the new initiative of recently approved law.
