ABSTRACT
Erythromelalgia is a syndrome characterized by intermittent redness, increased temperature and burning pain affecting mainly lower extremities; exacerbation of symptoms occur by exposure to heat. We describe a 16-year-old male patient with a year history of recurrent attacks of burning pain, warm and redness affecting the face, chest, hands and feet. Symptoms increase with exposure to heat and present amelioration with cold water. This is a primary erythromelalgia case with spontaneous resolution, previously called idiopathic erythromelalgia.
