ABSTRACT
We report a 51 year-old woman with a 3 cm nodule on her left cheek for the last 8 months. A punch biopsy showed a low grade fibrosarcoma and the tumour was successfully removed by Mohs micrographic surgery, but the histopathology and immunohistochemistry studies demonstrated a spindle-shaped fibroblast proliferation consistent with nodular fasciitis. We review the atypical presentation and the histopathology of these fibroblast proliferations.
