ABSTRACT
Knowledge and practice multidisciplinary management of HIV+ patients is crucial in the field of dentistry. Eradication of infectious foci and good oral hygiene is important in order to avoid opportunistic infections in the oral cavity of immunosuppressed patients. In the experience of the National Institute of Pediatrics oral care under general anesthesia, is the best option, because in a single procedure a complete treatment is performed with minimal risks. We report three HIV+ patients who underwent complete care under general anesthesia.
