ABSTRACT
We present a case of a 24 year old female referred to her ophthalmologist after presenting right orbital pain, photophobia and blurred vision of sudden onset. Physical examination revealed respected visual acuity in right eye, conjunctival hyperemia, and slight downward globe displacement and diminished upward motility. A Magnetic Resonance (MR) scan showed the presence of an orbital lateral wall lesion with similar signal intensity to that of the subcutaneous fat in all pulse sequences, and signal annulment on fat-suppressed techniques suggesting the diagnosis of dermoid orbital tumor. Surgical resection of the lesion confirmed the presence of a foamy white content in the lesion. After orbital wall reconstruction the patient’s symptoms resolved completely.REFERENCES
