ABSTRACT
Objective: To identify the percentage of procedures with adjustable sutures that needed to be adjusted in the postoperative period and to evaluate the benefit obtained when using this surgical technique.
Material and methods: A retrospective analysis of 50 cases operated with adjustable suture was carried out.
Results: 23 (46%) of the patients needed postoperative adjustment; 19 of 23 obtained a successful result.
Conclusions: The adjustable suture is a surgical option with potential benefits to improve surgical results in the postoperative period.
